The Armenian Border Guard is the branch of the Armed Forces of Armenia that is responsible in guarding Armenia's borders. Armenia has four neighboring countries: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran and Georgia.

Armenia established a Ministry of Defense on 28 January 1992. Border guards subject to the Ministry, patrol Armenia's borders with Georgia and Azerbaijan, while Russian troops continue to monitor its borders with Iran and Turkey. Since 1992, Armenia has been a member of the CSTO, which acts as another deterrent to Azeri military intervention over the de-facto independent Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
