Gangseo-gu is one of the 25 wards (gu) of Seoul, South Korea. It is located on the south side of the Han River. In the west of this district, there are many flats for low-level families. In Gonghang-dong, there is Gimpo Airport where many flights fly to another further cities like Busan, Jeju, and Gwangju.

The mayor of this district is Kim Jaehyun (김재현) since December 2007.
